TRASH
I’ll bleed for you without being cut open.

THIS IS TRASH
TRASH is a record of what borderline personality disorder looked like from the inside.
These pieces and photographs were made before I knew what was happening, while I was finding out, and after.
None of it was made to make mental illness beautiful.
It wasn't.

WHY TRASH?
TRASH isn't just the title.
T — Turbulent relationships. Terror of abandonment.
R — Rapid mood shifts. Reckless impulsivity.
A — Anger. Absent under stress.
S — Suicidal. Self-harm. Self-image.
H — Hollow.
Those were the patterns.
I didn't have those words for all of them when I was living them.
I just knew what they felt like.
5 LETTERS FOR 9 CRITERIA.

Because none of them felt separate anyway.
The relationships tangled with the fear of abandonment.
The mood shifts fed the impulsivity.
The anger disappeared into dissociation.
Self-harm tangled with self-image.
And underneath all of it was the emptiness.
They overlapped.
Fed each other.
Became each other.
I didn’t experience nine separate symptoms.
I experienced all of it at once.
I am in remission now.
TRASH is what it took from me.
